Pentair IntelliCenter
Pentair IntelliCenter provides centralized control for compatible pool and spa equipment and may support app-based monitoring and control. It may coordinate compatible pumps, heaters, lights, valves, water features, pool and spa functions, and schedules. Where legacy EasyTouch or IntelliTouch equipment is discussed, upgrade options depend on the installed equipment and project configuration. We do not promise that every legacy system can use the same upgrade path.
Replacing or Upgrading an Older Pool Control System
Homeowners often consider an automation upgrade when the existing controller can no longer keep up with the equipment or the way they want to use the pool. You may consider an upgrade when the old controller has failed, replacement parts are no longer available, remote access is no longer supported, the system cannot control newer equipment, the equipment pad has been modernized, the homeowner wants smartphone control, valves or actuators need replacement, or pool heating equipment has changed.
An upgrade evaluation may include current automation platform, connected equipment, available relays, valves and actuators, sensors, pump compatibility, heater compatibility, wiring, electrical capacity, and equipment-pad layout. We do not assume a complete replacement is always required. In many cases a controls, valve, or sensor upgrade improves how the existing equipment operates.
Automation for Solar Pool Heating & Heat Pumps
Pool automation may help coordinate compatible heating equipment such as Heliocol and SunStar solar pool heating, Gulfstream pool heat pumps, automatic solar valves, valve actuators, roof temperature sensors, pool-water sensors, and circulation schedules. Solar pool heating and a heat pump may require different controls or integration depending on the equipment. We do not imply that every controller supports every combination.

Pool Valves & Actuators
Automation may control compatible valves for pool and spa switching, solar pool heating, water features, bypass arrangements, and heating systems. Valve and actuator service is handled by our licensed team on site. We do not provide unsafe electrical or mechanical DIY instructions for live control wiring or pressurized plumbing. Common service issues include a valve not rotating, actuator failure, a valve moving in the wrong direction, a valve stopping partway, automation not commanding the actuator, and plumbing and control disagreement.
Variable-Speed Pump Integration
Automation may coordinate compatible variable-speed pumps with filtration schedules, pool heating, spa operation, water features, cleaners, and energy-management schedules. Compatibility varies by pump, controller, communication method, and equipment generation. We do not guarantee that every pump can communicate with every automation platform.
Control the Pool From a Compatible Mobile App
Supported systems may allow homeowners to check equipment status, change schedules, adjust temperatures, control lights, activate pool or spa modes, operate water features, and monitor certain connected equipment. Remote access requires compatible automation equipment, correct configuration, and an available network connection. We do not promise uninterrupted remote access.
Pool Automation Not Working?
Diagnosis may involve both the automation platform and the connected equipment. Common service concerns we evaluate include a control panel not responding, the app cannot connect, equipment does not follow schedules, a valve actuator does not move, a pump does not respond to commands, a heater is not called correctly, temperature readings appear inaccurate, lights or water features do not respond, a network or communication issue, and older systems that no longer support desired functions.
Modernizing the Pool Equipment Pad
Automation upgrades may be coordinated with other equipment-pad work so the whole pad operates as one system, including variable-speed pump replacement, filter upgrades, pool heater replacement, Gulfstream heat pump installation, solar pool-heating controls, valve replacement, actuator replacement, plumbing changes, lighting upgrades, and compatible salt-system installation. Florida Solar Pro evaluates what can remain and what should be upgraded. We do not imply that every automation project requires a complete equipment-pad rebuild.
