Robert Fulks: A Career Built in Florida Solar

Robert Fulks has worked in Florida solar for more than 25 years. His career has included family-owned solar operations, residential and commercial projects, service work, construction management, and leadership responsibilities involving solar projects across Florida and beyond. That experience showed Robert both what the solar industry can do well and where homeowners are too often left behind. When a contractor closes, stops answering the phone, or focuses only on new sales, the homeowner is left with equipment on the roof and no clear service path. Florida Solar Pro was built to solve that problem.

Robert created Florida Solar Pro as a service-first solar company. The business is designed to support homeowners before, during, and after a project—not simply sell a system and disappear. The company helps customers diagnose solar problems, restore available monitoring access, work through eligible manufacturer-support processes, remove and reinstall systems for roof replacement, add battery backup, maintain solar pool-heating systems, and plan properly designed new installations. Robert's goal is straightforward: give Florida homeowners knowledgeable answers, clearly explained options, properly managed work, and a local company they can contact when the system needs attention.

Who we are.

We are a family-run operation led by Robert and Katie Fulks, providing full-service solar installation, repair, and rescue across the Treasure Coast and Brevard County. We didn't just jump into solar last year. We've been doing this work in Florida for three decades — building systems that actually work the way they're supposed to.

30 years in Florida solar.

Robert Fulks spent 25 years running one of the oldest family-owned solar companies in the state. Later, he served as the National Construction Manager for a major Wall Street-backed solar operation that installed systems across 48 states. He saw firsthand what happens when big companies prioritize rapid sales over proper installations and long-term service. He watched national installers over-promise, under-deliver, and eventually close their doors, leaving customers across Florida without warranties or support. He started Florida Solar Pro to do it right. We exist for the customers those big companies left behind — and for new homeowners who want their solar done correctly the first time.

Four licenses, one company.

In Florida, solar work touches your roof, your electrical panel, and sometimes your pool or HVAC system. We hold the licenses to handle it all in-house.

Why structural matters: Most solar contractors don't hold a structural license. We do. This means when a hurricane hits and causes racking damage or torn flashings, we are legally qualified to repair the structural components tied to your solar system.

Master Electrician: Our electrical work is handled by a licensed master electrician on every single job. We don't sub out the work that broke down for the last installer.
